1 pkg. won ton wrappers
1 lb. ground turkey or pork
1 tablespoon minced ginger
1 green onion, chopped
1 tsp. sesame oil
Mix the ground meat, ginger, onions, and sesame oil. Place a teaspoon or so or meat mixture on
a won ton wrapper. Fold the edges together, sealing them with water. Heat oil in a wok or saucepan.
Cut a piece of a wrapper for use as a test--the oil is hot enough when the wrapper starts turning
golden quickly when placed in the oil. When the oil is hot, place the won tons in one or two at a time,
turning them occasionally. Remove them when they are crispy and golden, and place them on a cake
rack placed over paper towels to catch any dripping oil.
Serve these warm, with a dipping sauce such as sweet and sour, or just plain old soy sauce or whatever you have on hand.
The won tons can also be used for Won Ton Soup.
