Grilled Chicken & Shrimp

1/2 lb. fresh Medium Shrimp
1 lb. boneless Chicken Breast
1 tsp. Garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. Onion Powder
1/2 tsp. Ground Cumin
1/4 cup Butter, melted
Rinse, peel, and devein the fresh shrimp and set aside. Cut chicken into 1-inch cubes.

In a mixing bowl, blend together the minced garlic, onion powder, cumin, and melted butter. Marinate the shrimp and chicken while preparing the grill, at least 30 minutes.

Prepare the grill for moderate cooking.

Slide shrimp and chicken pieces onto well-soaked wood skewers. Grill about 6 inches above hot coals or flame. Allow for grilling the shrimp about 5 minutes and the chicken about 10 minutes. Make sure to turn the skewers several times while grilling, and baste often with remaining marinade.

Serve hot from the grill. Fantastic with a rice pilaf.
